Despite getting a bad press Pakistan is a facinating country and as we all know the Northern Frontier Province is home to the best mountains in the World the Karakoram, that has seven of the World's 8000metre peaks with three of them K2, Broad Peak and Gasherbrum all sharing Goodwin Austen glacier at Concordia.

From the photographs I shot in 2012, I managed to select 15 that went into producing a successful panel of prints to gain an Associate with the Royal Photographic Society in Travel Photography.

The photographs shown here start at Sheikh Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, progressing along the Karakoram Highway, an adventure in itself. Then from Skardu and Askhole its by foot on the Baltoro Glacier to Concordia for K2, thereafter across the Gondogoro La, passing Laila one of the World's stunning mountains to finish at Hushe village.
