Just a few photographs of the delightful town of Ypres.

Cloth Hall was totally destroyed during the First World War a took around forty years to re-build. As then Cloth Hall remains the centre of the Belgium textile industry.

Elsewhere in this medieval city is the famous Menin Gate memorial to the thousands of British and Commonwealth soldiers who were killed in the carnage of the First World War and who have no known grave.

Not far from the Menin Gate is the Rampart cemetry that overlooks what remains of the old city moat. It is one of the most pleasant cemetries on Flanders Fields.
